“Sama dosha sama agni scha sama dhatu mala kriyaaha|

Prasanna atma indriya manaha swastha iti abhidheeyate”

This means a person can be defined as healthy or perfect health can be achieved when there is a perfect balance of the three Doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha), the digestive system (Sama Agnisha), the body tissues (Sama Dhatu), the excretory functions (Mala Kriya) and a happy spirit, senses and mind (Prasanna Atma, Indriya, Manah).

How Ayurvedic Kadha Can Help Boost Immunity

Ayurveda takes a holistic approach to balance the Doshas and maintain a healthy body, mind and soul. There are several ways to boost the immune system and according to the Ayurvedic process, one of them is ‘Ayurvedic Kadha’ or Kashayam. In times like these, when the world is preparing to fight the third wave, the importance of Kadha has increased several folds. It is made using many herbs and spices beneficial for the immune system.

Ayurvedic Kadha is believed to have anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. And therefore it is one of the best ways to boost the immune system. While the ingredients may differ, some of the basic herbs and spices used to prepare a Kadha are:

  • Laung (Clove)

All these ingredients are boiled with water and made a decoction to extract their health benefits. Kadha is in fact one of the oldest forms of medicine in Ayurvedic science.

  2. Crush laung, dalchini, kali mirch, shunthi, and any other ingredient that you are using and can be crushed.
